Alpine larch shingles: the roofing that speaks of the mountains

The roof is your home's first line of defence against the elements. In the Briançonnais, the demands are particularly severe: snow accumulations that can exceed two metres at altitude, repeated freeze-thaw cycles, persistent ridge-top winds and intense UV radiation. Available as single skin or as a sandwich panel with integrated insulation, steel sheet installs quickly, withstands the snow loads of the Briançonnais thanks to its ribbed profile, and offers a long lifespan for a contained budget. It is today the most relevant solution for most utility buildings in the mountains.

We work steel sheet in matte tones that blend into the landscape: slate hues, earth brown, fir green. Particular care is given to fixings, flashings and connections to existing elements. Whether for a barn converted into housing in Villeneuve-la-Salle, a wood workshop in Saint-Chaffrey or an annexe in the Guisane valley, we adapt the installation to the building's context.

Waterproofing, insulation and long-term durability

A high-performing roof is not limited to the visible covering. We systematically incorporate an HPV underlay (highly vapour-permeable) that protects the insulation from water ingress while allowing interior moisture to escape. For insulation, we use rigid wood fibre boards, a bio-based insulating material particularly suited to summer comfort in the mountains, or blown cellulose for cold loft spaces.

Our work also covers moss treatment of ageing shingle roofs, spot replacement of damaged elements, repair of specific details and the bringing of roof penetrations into compliance.
